In the summer of 2006, Eel Ground First Nation lost a young man who was well respected and loved in the community. Although After The Thunder: The Simon Bishop Story is not based on his life, the passing of this young man and others like him, was the catalyst for the story. It is a story of Simon Bishop who, after ending his life, finds himself in limbo. He is questioned by a Superintendent of Lost Souls and is forced to see his life again for the first time.
